Kicking off London Fashion Week with a catwalk show that personally spoke volumes to me. I champion anything around culture, female empowerment and freedom.

Jenn Lee Catwalk Show, Prints, Block Colour & Coin Totem Earrings

A collection that speaks to my soul, the woman within. Celebrating female empowerment, designer Jenn Lee was inspired by the 1992 feminist book Women Who Run With The Wolves. Exploring issues around contemporary women who are bound by tradition and stereotypes within society. Each design promotes a positive message and encourages self-confidence.

Rich colours and bold prints that many tend to stray from. Embrace them both with open arms. Be fierce with your style whilst making the world your personal runway.

Jenn Lee Reworked Punk Rock Look

The idea of mixing new with old runs throughout the collection. Beginning with the silhouettes. An abstract distortion on Qing Dynasty inspired robes, modernising the look with fastening plackets and crisscrossing strings. It was refreshing to see each design walk down the catwalk. The use of dragon patterns, coin totem print and shiny jacquards were reworked taking it from East to West. Beautifully complimenting both cultures.

Along with female empowerment, social and environmental responsibility are essential within the collection. More brands and designers are taking note of the conversation around sustainability, fast fashion and waste the industry creates. Designer Jenn Lee is a prime example. Working alongside Gao Lin Cultural and Creative Foundation to collect defective and obsolete fabric. This innovative combination of recycled plastic, coffee pulp woven into material and discarded fabrics have given life to the collection. Beautiful, statement designs that also keep our planet in mind.
